3. Employment Relations and Workplace Initiatives.

In this third seminar we consider these questions through a focus on employment relations and workplace initiatives. The seminar opens with an analysis of union perspectives on WLB in changing times in both France and the UK, followed by an analysis of the WERS data on changes in WLB and other aspects of job quality. The afternoon session will focus upon the impact of austerity on the WLB of civil servants and trade union interventions in WLB, with a break-out session to consider practical implications and possible solutions. The seminar aim is to contribute to evidence-based debates about WLB policies and practices.
